Free Software movement started in 80s last age. Free Software means the software which is open for community. Free doesn’t mean non price. Free Software may cost, but the biggest part of Free Software doesn’t cost. It is important for not rich people and for studying people. I’m pupil. I’m very glad to see that on this world is a lot of people who’s wanna create good software for community for free. And community is very important in Free Software movement. Richard Stallman met something bad which is called closed software. He knew it’s bad, because closed software doesn’t take care of user. He started his project which is called GNU Project. He’s founder Free Software. He programmed a lot of UNIX applications. His software was be downloaded very frequency. But he knew he had all standard UNIX applications reprogrammed to Free Software (UNIX’s applications was closed), but he had not a free kernel – a base of operation system. His applications was a part of GNU operations system. He decided to make kernel. Then Linus Torvalds was appear. He showed Linux which is free (free as in freedom) kernel. It is redistributed by Stallman’s licence which is called GNU GPL (GNU General Public License). Linux connected to GNU operation system and then GNU/Linux began a war with Microsoft’s Windows closed operation system.
